Tricon Driving School wants our website, our lessons and our facilities to work for everyone, including people with disabilities. This page explains what we do today and how to reach us if something on our site or in a lesson doesn’t work for you.

Accessibility at Tricon Driving School
Tricon Driving School Ltd. is an ICBC-licensed driving school serving Surrey, Langley, Duncan/Nanaimo and the wider Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. We believe everyone should be able to find information about our courses, book a lesson, and get behind the wheel — regardless of disability. This statement describes the steps we take and how you can tell us where we’re falling short.
Our Commitment
We are committed to providing a website and driver training services that are accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and, in doing so, we adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.
This commitment applies to our website, to the way we communicate with students and prospective students, and to how we deliver in-vehicle and classroom instruction.
Website Accessibility
This website is built with the goal of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more usable for everyone. Some of the practices we follow include:
- Semantic HTML headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate the page in a logical order
- Descriptive alt text on informative images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology
- Keyboard-operable navigation, menus and forms, with a visible focus outline on every interactive element
- Colour combinations chosen for sufficient contrast between text and its background
- Text that can be resized in the browser without loss of content or function
- Reduced-motion support — visitors who set a system-level preference for reduced motion see fewer animations
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As we add new pages and features, or as browsers and assistive technology change, we review and update the site. If you encounter a page, form or feature that is difficult to use with a keyboard, screen reader, or other assistive technology, please let us know using the contact details below so we can fix it.
Accessible Lessons & Facilities
Every student learns differently, and some students have a disability that affects how they prefer to receive instruction, paperwork, or communication. If you have a disability that may require an accommodation — for example, extra time, materials in an alternate format, a support person present, or a discussion about whether a training vehicle can be adapted to your needs — contact us before you register so we can talk through what’s possible for your course.
We are also happy to discuss accessibility of our Surrey and Langley locations, including parking and building access, if you let us know in advance of a visit.
