Class 3 Trucks

Class 3 License Required

The types of trucks you see here are all three axles and more. They are equipped with Air Brakes and most don’t pull trailers. When they do, a Class 1 license is required to drive them. There are unlimited uses for these trucks such as with municipalities, road maintenance, hydro, snow plowing, construction etc.

Those drivers who want to work close to home, usually choose to obtain a Class 3 license and drive these trucks.

There are vast differences in the lifestyle between Class 1 and Class 3, plus the training to operate them is different. In our phone and in person discussions with potential students, we present in detail the pros and cons of each type of license.

There are many opportunities for those wishing to advance in the truck driving profession, both in skill development and financial reward. Most trucking companies and municipalities have supervisors, safety managers, sales persons etc.
