Serving Delta from our Surrey yard
Delta has a strong port and container-trucking base — Deltaport and Roberts Bank move a lot of freight, and a lot of the drivers who call us from Ladner, Tsawwassen and North Delta already know exactly why they're calling: a Class 1 or Class 3 licence opens up local container and freight trucking work without relocating. We don't have a campus inside Delta itself, so Delta students train at our Surrey yard — about 20–25 minutes away, give or take traffic.
It's the same instructors, the same ICBC-approved MELT curriculum, and the same trucks that Surrey and Langley students use — nothing about training out of Surrey is a "lesser" version of Tricon.

Most Delta students come in via Highway 17 and Highway 99 — a straightforward, mostly highway drive. Does Tricon have a training yard in Delta?
Not yet — Delta students train at our Surrey yard, about 20–25 minutes away. Many of our current Class 1 and Class 3 students commute from Delta, including Ladner, Tsawwassen and North Delta, for exactly this reason.
What programs can Delta students take at Tricon?
The full lineup: Class 1 MELT, Class 3 professional truck training, the air brake (Code 15) course, individual lessons and pre-employment road tests, and Class 5 car driving lessons.
